Each individual plays a vital role in making ELEY, ‘The Choice of Champions’.

“I have been with ELEY for over 15 years now, starting on a short-term contract basis, carrying out manual SPC on our premium product, Tenex. The family feel soon saw me ask to extend my contract and build my career at ELEY.

Over the years, I have covered a variety of roles, from Propellant handling, Primer manufacture, proof range testing, and supervision before moving into the world of Quality in 2021.

Continually maintaining our high standards to remain one of the market leaders, whilst looking to innovate further, is all part of what makes this role so enjoyable. Most of my time is spent close to the manufacturing, getting a feel of how everything is running. We work to such tight tolerances at ELEY that maintaining control is vital, which, in my opinion, is why a visual-quality presence on the shop floor is key. Maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers also plays a huge part in the products we produce, alongside continuous communication with our customers. I was made aware that no day in Quality can be predicted, which has proven true, nonetheless with all the challenges comes many rewards.

Away from ELEY, much of my time is spent entertaining my 2-year-old, Jax, which I wouldn’t change for the world. Spending time with family and friends is what makes it all worthwhile.  When I do get some spare time, I play golf and have recently taken up Padel. As a gluten for punishment, I am also a season ticket holder at West Bromwich Albion. The less said about that, the better at the moment I feel!

I am always grateful for the opportunity that ELEY has given me to work with and meet some amazing people, which has seen me build some lifelong friends. I am excited for the future and the positive direction that ELEY is heading”.
