ELEY will be hosting its first PSL prone competition at the 61^st annual Western Wildcat Prone Championships this March.

Held at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ and hosted by Desert Sharpshooters (18^th – 22^nd March), ELEY’s trial event will take place following the main match on Thursday and will run concurrently with the Made in America match.

Competitors will fire two stages of 25 record shots at 50 yards on the ARA Factory Class target. There will be a separate category for F-Class competitors using the regular ARA target. Participation in the competition is free, and 10 winners will bag themselves a brick of ELEY tenex ammunition.

Michele Makucevich, competitions development manager for ELEY commented: “We’re so excited to launch at the Western Wildcat tournament. This event has such an amazing history and has been shot by some of the most distinguished shooters. ELEY is always looking for ways to grow and develop the shooting sports and we hope the PSL prone competition provides an exciting gateway for talented shooters who want to get involved.

“The Professional Shooting League brings shooters together to compete in well organised and fair tournaments. However, previously it has been predominantly associated with benchrest shooting. We wanted to broaden this and evaluate interest in the development of PSL prone.”

The Western Wildcat program is a storied match that dates back to the 1960’s and has been won by several Olympians and other prone icons in the US including Lones Wigger, Matt Emmons, Reya Kempley and Michael McPhail.
